Employer of the Day™ Criteria Statement
The criteria for a corporation’s inclusion on the Impactivize DEI Employer of the Day™ list is its publicly stated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI or by any other name) on its website.
Note: The Impactivize list is not an endorsement of a company’s other corporate policies, practices, political views, donations, or how its diversity initiatives are implemented. The list reflects only companies’ stated commitments to diversity, equity, inclusion initiatives (DEI or by any other name).
Companies that would likely be targeted for their DEI practices, according to the following reporting, are included on the Impactivize list:
- President Trump’s Executive Order of Jan 21, 2025, indicating intent to “combat illegal private-sector DEI preferences, mandates, policies, programs, and activities”.
- Attorney General Pam Bondi letter, threatening “criminal investigations” of entities’ DEI programs.
- Memo from Trump admin OMB threatening consequences for organizations making efforts to “disguise these [DEI] programs by using coded or imprecise language”
- Trump has targeted law firms‘ DEI in Executive Orders, subsequently striking agreements with several large law firms to “disavow DEI.”
- The head of the FEC opened an investigation into the Walt Disney Company, accusing the company of “invidious forms of DEI discrimination,” just eight days after Disney shareholders voted 99-1 percent to support the company’s diversity efforts.
- The EEOC issued guidance in March 2025 on “DEI-related discrimination,” targeting Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Most large corporations offer employees voluntary affinity groups.
